What brifr processes
brifr reads webpage text only when you ask it to summarize a page or a selected passage. The extension uses that text to generate a summary and display it on the page.
What brifr stores
brifr stores extension preferences such as summary length, summary style, voice, speed, auto-read setting, and optional AI endpoint in Chrome storage. brifr does not store webpage content in the extension.
AI endpoint
If an AI endpoint is configured, selected or extracted page text is sent to that endpoint to create a summary. If no endpoint is available, brifr can use its local fallback summarizer.
Audio
Read-aloud playback uses browser speech features and available voices on the user's device or browser.
